I love cats.  They are cute because they are playful, and they have soft noses.  I have a black cat named Zachary.  My family adopted him from the local animal shelter.
Zachary's tail puffs when he's scared.  When his tail puffs, it looks like a giant black pipe-cleaner! 

An interesting fact about cats is that they have four rows of whiskers on each side of their faces, and the top two rows can move independently of the bottom two.  They measure distances with their whiskers.
